New Directions in Folklore is a free, online scholarly journal focusing on–you guessed it–folklore. I’m a newcomer to the journal myself, so I can’t comment on its content just yet; but if you’re interested to see the kinds of things academic folklorists are up to these days, this is a good place to start.
Folklore has such a lot of really good free stuff! Wish I’d studied it an uni, would have been cheaper than Ancient History and Archaeology!!
Oh, but ancient history and archaeology are both awesome! Did you have a specific focus area?
Awesome and you get lots of free holidays! I was really into the political iconography of the later republic and Augustus and his use of propaganda….but I also did lots of European pre-history as well….Oh no I am having ancient history/archaeology flashbacks now…MUST..WATCH..TIME TEAM!!!
And OMG, first article I looked at was about STEAMPUNK – yeay!!!
Haha, glad you like it.
